Clint is a Whangarei raised local man. He has worked in many roles and capacities from labouring roles to health and disabilities, youth work, Tikanga Maori engagement, behavioural management, Public health and on top of all that, a part-time stage manager for what started as a small theatre production to working with MSD as a Work Broker and youth mentor.
He comes with a diverse range of skills as he is able to relate intimately with Tangata Whenua and communities where authentic engagement is paramount for the success of outcomes. He holds knowledge and cultural awareness of demographic challenges and has experienced many positive results even when communities are often resistant to change.
He has a reasonably good understanding of Te Reo Maori and utilises bi-cultural negotiation and expression tools of engagement, making him an excellent and trustworthy relationships manager. Some of his past roles include community and regional planning for health campaigns, National Health planning with inter agencies and other co-operative partners including co-management of new Council Bylaws. He has a very grounded approach when providing support to whanau, clients and communities influencing positive change behaviour. For staff, he’s deliberate, purposeful and very capable when mentoring, supervising and strategically planning and always ensures that the achievement of all outcomes are met with expectant efficiency.
He is a confident communicator with a preference to engage clients/ customers whanau hapu and Iwi and business partners on a very professional level.
He is analytical by nature and fully enjoys inquiry as a huge component of what drives him to know that a positive attitude in all things, contributes to capable personal development and achievement.
